The Taoiseach today embarks on a 10-day visit to South East Asia and the Gulf region taking in the Asia-Europe Summit in Vietnam that starts tomorrow.
While in Vietnam, Mr Ahern will travel to Ho Chi Minh City where he will officially open the Christina Noble Children's Foundation Medical Facility.
He will also pay official visits to Malaysia and Singapore and address a number of trade development functions organised by Enterprise Ireland.
