Madrid - Hundreds of supporters of the former Spanish dictator Francisco Franco gathered yesterday in Madrid to commemorate the 22nd anniversary of his death. The crowd paid homage to the man who led the fascist side to victory in 1939 in the Spanish civil war and ruled until his death in 1975.
