Irish coach Warren Gatland looks likely to be forced into a late change for tomorrow's Test encounter with New Zealand at Lansdowne Road.

Scrum-half Peter Stringer is rated only 50-50 by the Irish management after taking a blow to his ankle in training.

Stringer will be given every chance to prove his fitness for the match.

Llanelli's Guy Easterby is standing by to take Stringer's place, with Leinster's Brian O'Meara called into the squad as cover after skippering Ireland A against the All Blacks in Belfast on Tuesday.
