Reports from local authority managers on staff engaging in activities incompatible with their official roles are due in April, the Minister for the Environment said.
Mr Dempsey recalled that he had written to local authority managers about the matter in January, and had asked them to report to him within three months.
Asked by the Labour spokesman on the environment, Mr Eamon Gilmore, if he had confirmation that the practice was not operating now, the Minister said he had not.
