Seven people were injured when a rally car crashed into spectators at a race in Northern Ireland yesterday.

The car spun off the course at Lurgan Park, Co Armagh, as rain lashed down.

Those hurt included a 12-year-old boy who suffered head injuries.

Others were taken to hospital with chest and back injuries.

Although police said one of them was seriously wounded, their condition is not thought to be life threatening.
