FRANCE: A Spanish man was last night found guilty of murdering and raping English schoolgirl Caroline Dickinson on a school trip to France nearly eight years ago.
Francisco Arce Montes (54) from Gigon, was sentenced to 30 years in jail with the possibility of parole after 20. The jury of six women and three men, who deliberated with the three judges, reached the verdict in four hours.
Montes had a history of stalking European youth hostels for young girls, the court heard.
