Wintry showers of hail, sleet and snow are to hit eastern and southeastern parts of the country tomorrow, Met Éireann said today.

All parts experienced another night of severe frost last night, and snow again covered parts of the west and north overnight, making driving conditions dangerous.
Accumulations of snow were reported in Kerry, Galway and Mayo and Donegal. Some five centimetres were recorded in Knock airport, Co Mayo. Some schools remained closed in these parts, with some reported to be closed until Monday at the earliest.
Met Éireann said the cold spell will last until at least Monday, with temperatures plunging to six degrees below zero.
Today will see further showers of hail, sleet and snow, with the showers again heaviest and most frequent across Ulster and western parts of Munster and Connacht. Temperatures will reach no more than of 2 to 6 degrees.
The wintry showers will continue in the west and north tonight with more accumulations, while elsewhere will see another severe frost after dark. Tomorrow will see more wintry showers on the east and southeast coasts as winds change.
