Six men arrested in Lusk raid

Six people have been arrested following a raid in Lusk, Co Dublin, this morning.

Six people have been arrested following a raid in Lusk, Co Dublin, this morning.

The men were arrested after gardaí conducted a planned search of an unofficial halting site at Thomondtown, seizing a shotgun, ammunition, industrial equipment and other property.

One man was arrested for burglary and another for theft, with both being detained under section 4 of The Criminal Justice Act.

Three other men were arrested in relation to outstanding warrants and a juvenile was arrested for to public order offences.

All are being held at Whitehall, Swords and Balbriggan Garda Stations.

According to a garda spokesman the men who are subject to outstanding warrants will be brought before Dublin District Court as soon as possible.
