The Labour Relations Commission has invited SIPTU and management at the Royal Hospital, Donnybrook, Dublin, to conciliation talks today. Last week the union served strike notice on the hospital for April 7th, over what it claims are unfair disciplinary procedures and understaffing.

The threat of industrial action followed the death of a porter at the hospital, who committed suicide after being dismissed over alleged sexual harassment of a patient.
