SIPTU is expected to voice its opposition to plans to privatise Aer Rianta at a meeting of the Joint Committee on Transport later today.

The trade union is also against the building of a private terminal at Dublin Airport.

Aer Rianta reported profits before exceptional items of €31 million for 2002, similar to the previous year. Turnover overall was down to €427 million from €441 million the year before.
