The board of management of Eircom League champions Shelbourne have called a public meeting for tomorrow evening, to address the state of the club's finances.

The board has called on Shelbourne fans to attend the meeting, which will take place at Tolka Park at 7.45pm.

The call for the meeting was issued in a letter sent last Wednesday to the club's website by chief executive Oliver Byrne, "for the purpose of discussing and determining the club's future and hopefully raise much needed funds".

"Unless financial support is immediately forthcoming the Club Management will have to seriously re think the clubs position and how it goes forward," the letter warns.
