Beirut - Hizbullah chief, Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah, yesterday accused the United States of declaring a war against terrorism to provide a "legitimate pretext" to expand its military bases and fleet in the world.

"America has declared a war against an obscure enemy which it has called terrorism and has given it an international dimension," Sheikh Nasrallah told an audience attending an Islamic conference in a Beirut hotel.
