A father who subjected his adopted daughter to more than two years of rape and physical abuse is to be sentenced at the Central Criminal Court today. In January, the 34 year old man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty before Mr Justice Carney to raping his daughter, now aged 16, on two unknown dates from January 1994 to July 1995. He also admitted a third charge of sexually assaulting her on a date unknown from January to July 1993.
