The severe weather has hampered the search for Mr Trevor Deely (22), who has been missing for three weeks.

Mr Michael Deely, Trevor's father, said yesterday the bad weather had prevented a coach of friends travelling from Castlebar, Co Mayo, to help in street searches and a poster campaign.

"We hope up to 30 people will be able to make it up by rail on Saturday," he said. "The search will still concentrate in the Ballsbridge, Leeson Street and Baggot Street area where Trevor was last seen," he added. Mr Deely is 6 ft, of slim build, and has short red hair and green eyes.

Meanwhile, gardai yesterday appealed for information after Mr Charlie Cullen (36) went missing from St Otterans Hospital, Waterford. He was last seen in the hospital at 4.40 p.m. on Wednesday. He is described as 5 ft 6 in, 10 stone, of thin build and pale complexion. He has receding dark brown hair and blue eyes.
