Seven people were killed and two wounded last in an attempted $80,000 cocaine deal in southern Mexico.

The seven - three men, a woman and three minors - were shot after they drove into the town of Juchitan in the state of Oaxaca and paid the cash for an unspecified amount of cocaine.

Three men and a woman - believed to be the sellers of the cocaine who wanted to keep both the drugs and cash - were later arrested after being identified by a woman who survived the shooting.
