The sentencing of two Dublin men charged with possession of an explosive device has been adjourned.

Daniel McFall, 21, of Croftwood Crescent, Ballyfermot, and Christopher McCarthy, 28, of The Vale, Wood Farm Acres, in Palmerstown, today appeared at the Special Criminal Court in connection to the discovery of a pipe bomb under a van at Belcamp Crescent, north Dublin, in January 2005.

The pair, who had previously pleaded guilty to the charge, will reappear before the court on Friday morning when a new sentencing date will be fixed.

Sentencing had to be adjourned today as one of the sitting judges could not hear the case.
