A worker developed repetitive strain injury in his knuckles stacking fish boxes on fish boxes, Dublin Circuit Civil Court was told yesterday. Judge Michael White was told that Mr John Codd, of The Lawn, Finglas, Dublin, was suing his employer, Fingal Seafoods Ltd, of North Road, Finglas, for up to £30,000 damages for personal injury.

Mr Damien Sheridan, counsel for Fingal Seafoods, successfully opposed an application to allow experts a third opportunity to photograph fish workers carrying out stacking operations. Mr Sheridan described the application as a fishing exercise in which Mr Codd's expert witnesses would seek yet another photo shoot to catch employees in difficulties stacking fish trays.
