Santer expresses `shock and dismay'

The President of the European Commission, Mr Jacques Santer, has expressed "very deep shock and dismay" at the bombing. In a statement on behalf of the Commission, he extended sympathy to the families and friends of those killed and injured, and added: "We believe unequivocally that supporting the peace process is the only way forward towards lasting peace and reconciliation".
