S Korean cleric urges talks

SEOUL - South Korea's most respected cleric, Cardinal Stephen Kim, yesterday urged President Kim Young Sam to use "dialogue and tolerance" to end the standoff over a controversial labour law, as riot police ringed the cathedral where union leaders have their headquarters.
