Ryanair's load factor - the percentage of available seating capacity that is filled with passengers - was 86 per cent in September down from 87 per cent for the same month last year.
The airline said passengers numbers rose by 17 per cent during the month to 3.5 million.
Ryanair said stringent new security measures introduced in August following a susepcted terrorist plot were not affecting demand.
