Ryanair passengers up 21%

Ryanair today said passenger numbers in August grew 21 per cent against the same month a year ago.

Ryanair said it carried 4,844,000 passengers last month compared with 4,002,000 in August 2006. In the 12 months to August 2007, 46,104,000 passengers travelled with the Dublin-based airline.

Ryanair added that its load factor in August - how full its aircraft were - was flat against a year ago at 91 per cent.
