Irish low-cost airline Ryanair is starting flights to seven new destinations from London's Stansted airport, it announced today.

The new routes are Brussels, Salzburg, Esbjerg in Denmark, Pescara and Trieste in Italy and Gothenburg and Stockholm in Sweden. The new routes include its first services to Austria and Belgium from London.

Return fares start at £49 sterling to Brussels, where there will be six flights daily.

"This will undoubtedly be Ryanair's most successful summer schedule ever," said chief executive Mr Michael O'Leary.

This summer Ryanair will fly on 52 routes to 47 destinations around Europe.
