There are some 3,000 fans expected to travel by rail to the match on Sunday alone. Extra Dart services have been laid on to and from Lansdowne Road.

A small number of rail tickets are available online for Cork City fans who want to travel to the Setanta Sports cup final against Drogheda United in Tolka Park on Saturday. Kick-off there will be at 7.45 pm.

Motorists are advised to expect heavier traffic volume in these areas before and after kick-off at 3pm.

Race meetings are taking place at Naas racecourse on Saturday and Leopardstown on Sunday. Motorists should expect increased traffic volumes in these areas as a result. Racing is also taking place in Sligo on Sunday.

Travellers should also note that the census takes place on Sunday night, so roads and public transport services may be busier than usual this weekend as travellers make their way home.
