Shamrock Rovers were handed an away first leg tie against Swedish club Djurgardens in the UEFA Cup qualifying round draw which took place today.

Dundalk will also play away first against Croatian side Varteks who knocked out Aston Villa last season.

Ipswich Town have been handed a favourable draw against little-known Luxembourg side Avenir Beggen while SPL club Livingston have been handed a tie against FC Vaduz of Liechtenstein.

Aberdeen will face Moldovan outfit Nistru Otaci, who they will tackle away from home in the first leg.

Northern Ireland Smirnoff Premiership runners-up Glentoran will take on Polish club Wisla Krakow, while fellow Northern Irish side Linfield were paired with Norwegian club Stabaek, who they will play away first.
