Glenn Roeder was today confirmed as West Ham's new
manager, finally ending the long search for a successorto Harry Redknapp.
Roeder, who has been on the coaching staff at Upton Park for two years, makes the step up after the Hammers missed out on several targets.
The Hammers pursued Charlton boss Alan Curbishley andManchester United coach Steve McClaren, but Curbishley decided to stay at The Valley and McClaren opted to become Middlesbrough manager.
