Rezoning moratorium urged

An Taisce has called for a moratorium on rezoning proposals in the Wicklow Draft Development Plan and limits on the expansion of towns and villages in the county.In a submission to Wicklow County Council on the current draft of the 1989 County Development Plan it criticises the council's approach to development. An Taisce claims that there is widespread alarm at the prospect of huge population increases "being imposed in Co Wicklow on both large and small communities who have not been adequately consulted".
