The British news agency Reuters' bureau chief in Tehran, Mr Jonathan Lyons, and his wife, a correspondent for several Western newspapers, have been expelled from Iran, Iranian journalists said today.
Mr Lyons, a US national, "left Iran on Friday night on official orders," the Iranian journalists said.
He left with his wife, who is correspondent for The Guardian in London and the International Herald Tribune.
