MONROVIA - Bursts of gunfire crackled in the streets of the Liberian capital yesterday but fighters of the two main factions paused in their assault on the main army barracks.
"Today is a rest day. We want to make them feel happy," said Maj Kelvin Sumo of Mr Charles Taylor's NPFL.
