A Corkman who escaped from prison-officer custody last week, pleaded guilty at Cork Circuit Criminal Court yesterday to two charges. Adrian Duke (29) of Farranree, Cork, was being escorted in a prison van when it was attacked by men who helped him to escape. He was rearrested at a house in Waterford on Sunday.

Yesterday he pleaded guilty to robbing O'Donovan's off-licence in Blackpool, Cork, and the theft of £185 on September 28th and to using a scissors in the robbery.
