A Co Tyrone man is to be extradited to the Republic on a rape charge

A Co Tyrone man is to be extradited to the Republic on a rape charge. An order for the extradition of Mr Patrick Quinn (20), an apprentice plumber, of Ballygillen Road, Cookstown, was granted at Cookstown Magistrates' Court yesterday.

He is accused of raping a woman at Kingram Place, Dublin, on August 18th, 1996. Mr Quinn, who has 15 days to challenge the order, was remanded in custody until he is handed over to the Garda.
