London - Manslaughter charges over the Paddington rail crash, which claimed 31 lives, are still a possibility, it was disclosed yesterday.

The Crown Prosecution Service is still considering the legal implications of the October 1999 disaster, a CPS spokeswoman said.

She denied a newspaper report that a decision had already been made not to bring manslaughter charges against any Railtrack executive, or the company itself, over the crash.
