A series of attacks by US warplanes and missiles on Afghan Taliban targets resulted in several deaths in the capital, witnesses said today.
It was not immediately clear if those killed were civilians or Taliban fighters, and further details were not available.
The US launched at least three raids on the Afghan capital, Kabul, starting yesterday night and continuing until this morning. Raids were also carried out on the Taliban's stronghold of Kandahar and the eastern city of Jalalabad.
