QUB elects two officers

Queen's University Belfast has announced the election of two new pro-chancellors, Mr Chris Gibson and Ms Brenda McLaughlin. Mr Gibson is chairman of the Confederation of British Industry in Northern Ireland as well as a member of the advisory board of the Bank of Ireland and of the Industrial Development Board. He is also chairman of the Irish School of Ecumenics. Ms McLaughlin is a former vice-president of Queen's student union and has been a member of the university's senate since 1993 and is chairman of Opportunity 2000.
