An acute psychiatric unit costing more than £5 million will be built at Beaumont Hospital, Dublin

An acute psychiatric unit costing more than £5 million will be built at Beaumont Hospital, Dublin. Funding for the 60-bed unit, which will replace the acute/admissions unit at St Ita's Hospital, Portrane, was announced by the Minister for Health, Mr Cowen, yesterday. It is due to be completed in 2003.
