London - A private education firm yesterday won a multi-million pound British government contract to run school services in the London borough of Islington.

Cambridge Education Associates (CEA) won a £105 million contract - the first of its kind in Britain - after Islington was forced to contract out education when a watchdog report declared one in 10 of its schools "failing".
