Prison officer released

A prison officer was released last night just under 24 hours after being arrested and questioned about the possession of drugs. A small quantity of cannabis was found in the man's car when he was stopped at the North road in Finglas, Dublin, late on Thursday in an operation involving the Garda National Drugs Unit and the National Bureau of Criminal Investigation. A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
