Possible WWII device found at Brittas Bay

An unidentified device, which is 80 per cent covered with sand, has been found on the beach at Brittas Bay, Co Wicklow.

An unidentified device, which is 80 per cent covered with sand, has been found on the beach at Brittas Bay, Co Wicklow.

The army’s Explosive Ordinance Demolition squad are on their way to investigate it.

There is speculation that the device may have been there since the second world war.
