A REVIEW of lottery legislation is being carried out and proposals for legislative changes have been put to the Government by the Minister for Finance, the Taoiseach said. The review covered the sale of British lottery tickets here and the limit on prizes offered by lotteries other than the National Lottery, he said.

Mr Bruton was responding to the Fianna Fail spokesman on law reform, Dr Michael Woods, who said that while the National Lottery prize fund had reached £4 million other lotteries were confined to a maximum of £10,000.
