What Sinn Féin and People Before Profit propose aren’t really solutions, but they are all about spending. Their economic policies aren’t real.
It’s about creating a better Ireland, not living in a false economy like Fianna Fáil created with the Celtic Tiger.
We’ve been very open. We’ve supported marriage equality. A number of our TDs have addressed the issue of abortion.

Didn’t Enda give us back our sovereignty? Sure, there are problems. He was handed a poisoned chalice and he had to bring in the restrictions he brought in.
We are recovering from it now and hopefully we can pass this stable economy on to our children. They’re even bringing in maternity leave for men now!
Ted O’Driscoll (67) Cape Clear, Co Cork
What brought me here was to say to [Minister for Agriculture and the Marine] Simon Coveney and the Taoiseach thanks for the help that they gave to the island.
We find them good to the island. We hope they are re-elected.
When the recession came, they had no money to do the piers and that. I’d prefer they [Fine Gael] were back with Labour.
