Heavy mist has forced a suspension of play in today’s second round of the Wales Open.

Six players completed the first hole but were unable to play the par five second as the mist descended and reduced visibility to a few metres.

Rain has made the conditions even worse.

South African James Kingston and Australian Richard Green are the joint leaders after yesterday’s opening round, carding a course record 65.

Ireland’s Darren Clarke and Des Smyth are three shots off the lead while reigning champion Paul McGinley is a further shot behind.
