Diyarbakir - Twenty Kurdish rebels and a Turkish soldier were killed in separate clashes in eastern and southeastern Turkey, Turkish security officials here yesterday. Fourteen Kurdistan Workers party (PKK) rebels were killed in fighting during a security operation near Mount Eyvantasi in the eastern Anatolian province of Van. Clashes in the nearby Kulp town in Diyarbakir province in southeastern Turkey claimed the lives of four rebels, while another two were killed in the eastern Anatolian province of Bingol, the sources added.
