Glindow - A 40 year-old German man who ran to the aid of a woman whose pitbull terrier had attacked her, killed the animal with his bare hands, police in this eastern German town said yesterday.
Although a household pet, the pitbull is traditionally a fierce breed. The dog turned on its 54-year-old owner as she tried to pull it away from another dog it was fighting. The man intervened and was bitten by the terrier.
