Pipebomb thrown at house in Belfast

A pipebomb partially exploded when thrown at a house in west Belfast last night.

A pipebomb partially exploded when thrown at a house in west Belfast last night.

A man and woman in the property at Mica Drive in the Beechmount area were uninjured in the attack when the device hit the side of the house.

Police said the device was made safe by an army bomb disposal term and taken away for examination.

A PSNI spokeswoman said a motive for the attack had yet to be established.
