Pickpocket gets prison sentence

A Dublin heroin addict who went to the Galway races to pick pockets has been sentenced at Galway District Court to six months in prison. Stephen Prendergast, a father of six, of Cappagh Drive, Finglas, Dublin, was convicted of handling £600 cash knowing it was stolen on July 29th.
