THE SEX PISTOLS, notorious for irreverent punk rock in the late 1970s, have performed in Britain for the first time in 19 years.

All four original members were in the reformed line up Johnny Rotten, (John Lydon), Paul Cook, Steve Jones and Glen Matlock, replaced at an early stage by Sid Vicious, who died in 1979.

Bishops have come under fire in the House of Commons, accused of making "deplorable political speeches" when they should be sticking to religion.

Tory Harry Greenway levelled the charge as he questioned Michael Alison who replies for Church Commissioners in the House.
