Martin Bell, the British Independent MP and former BBC war correspondent, showed off his new wife to his constituents yesterday and declared himself to be a "very happy man".

The 59-year-old appeared in public with Fiona Goddard (32) for the first time after keeping their relationship secret since they met in July 1996. The couple married at a small private ceremony in Canterbury register office last Friday.

Hong Kong kung-fu fans paid homage yesterday to martial arts legend Bruce Lee at the Hong Kong Arts Centre, marking 25 years since his death with plans to bring him to life again on the screen.

A flood of fans was also expected at Lee's grave in Seattle, Washington state.
