Gardaí in Monaghan are investigating a road traffic crash earlier this evening in which a pensioner was killed.
The woman, who was in her 80s, was struck by a truck at Old Cross Square, Monaghan shortly before 6.30pm.
The scene is currently closed off for forensic investigation, and gardaí are seeking witnesses to the incident.
