A man has died after being knocked down by a car in Co Clare early this morning.
The man (45) was knocked down by a car while he was walking near Ballymacloone in Quin at 2.30am.
The driver of the car was not injured.
The man's body was taken to the Mid-Western Regional Hospital in Limerick where a postmortem will be carried out later today.

Elsewhere, a motorcyclist (32) is critically ill in a Dublin hospital today after he was involved in a crash with a car on the Callan Road in Kilkenny yesterday afternoon.
