Ray Parlour, who won the man of the match award in Arsenal's 2-1 win at Anfield yesterday, has pledged his future to the Gunners.

The England midfielder, reportedly disillusioned by his lack of first-team action this season, has been the subject of transfer speculation linking him with several clubs this season.

But Parlour has vowed to work hard to retain a regular starting place although admitting that "things can change overnight".

He told the English newspaper the Evening Standard: "I definitely see my future at Arsenal. I have never wanted to leave. Why would I want to leave Arsenal?

"It is a great club and it is in London, where I was born. Of course things can change overnight but while I am playing it is fantastic.

"There is going to be a time when you have a bad run and not play so well but you just have to train hard and try to get back into the team." -PA
