Irish exploration company Pan Andean Resources said today it has raised £1.80 million sterling via a placing of 7.2 million new ordinary shares at 25 pence each.

The funds will be used to bed down the considerable growth in production and exploration seen in the last year and to aid strategic expansion, it said.

It is expected that the shares will be admitted to listing and that dealings will commence on Thursday.
